Message from Yiye Xu, PhD student in Construction Engineering Management and Dr. Yelda Turkan, associate professor, School of Civil and Construction Engineering.
Survey target: professionals with knowledge and experience in construction safety and/or UASs (drones)
Dear friends / industry partners / alumni of the School of Civil and Construction Engineering,
We would like to invite you to be part of the expert panel in our CPWR (the Center for Construction Research and Training) small study. The survey involved in this study is targeted toward professionals with knowledge and experience in construction safety and/or UASs (drones). If this falls under your experience, please consider completing it. If not, it would be greatly appreciated if you could forward it to someone in your organization who has knowledge and experience in this area.
The purpose of this research study is to develop a practical model to measure and improve the effectiveness of safety control programs for UAS-assisted construction projects. Being part of the expert panel, you are expected to take multiple rounds (2-3 rounds) of the Delphi survey to identify/verify and quantify (1) the potential safety risks associated with the use of UASs in construction, and (2) the solutions to mitigate the identified safety risks. With your invaluable feedback and response, the research study is expected to be beneficial to the construction industry by providing criteria for safely implementing UASs on construction sites.
If you are willing to participate in our research study and be part of the expert panel, please follow this link to the survey. It should take about 10 minutes or less to complete.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could finish the survey by Monday, August 30.
