The Freedom Awards luncheon brings together a diverse audience of community members, businesses, elected officials, and non-profits to talk about addiction, celebrate recovery, and support De Paul’s treatment programs for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The event recognizes community members who support and work toward ending the stigma of addiction. At this year’s luncheon, the following two awards will be presented:
- Samuel C. Wheeler Freedom Award: Jay Minor
- Spirit of Recovery Advocacy Award: Devarshi Bajpai
