Celebrating 100 Years of Workers’ Comp

Check out the exhibit at the Oregon Historical Society celebrating 100 years of caring for injured workers and making Oregon workplaces safer.

SAIF's 100 Faces of Change exhibit
SAIF’s 100 Faces of Change exhibit runs through April 22 at the Oregon Historical Society.

One hundred years ago, SAIF (known then as the State Industrial Accident Commission) began insuring Oregon employers and helping injured workers get the care they need.

Through June 22, SAIF is honoring the people and organizations that have had an impact on the workers’ compensation system over those 100 years with the 100 Faces of Change exhibit at the Oregon Historical Society (OHS).

100 Faces of Change tells 100 stories of those people and organizations. There are governors (and one president), inventors, iconic businesses, a high school student, and Oregonians of all kinds.

To get a taste of the exhibit, read the story of inventor Steve Gass.
