Build America and AGC in the Community Competitions Soon to Close!
AGC of America’s awards season is well underway, and with the Nov. 1 deadline for both the AGC/Alliant Build America Awards and AGC in the Community competitions fast approaching, we wanted to encourage to you to reach out to members to submit for either or both of these competitions! Additionally, interested in submitting for an AGC in the Community award? These award programs give companies and chapters the chance to be recognized for the outstanding work they do, both in the industry and in their communities.
About Build America
Build America is all about honoring AGC members who build the nation’s most impressive construction projects ranging across the building, highway and transportation, utility infrastructure, and federal and heavy divisions.
About AGC in the Community
AGC in the Community is an initiative of AGC Charities Inc., designed to highlight the community service projects done by member companies and AGC Chapters.

To evolve its showcase, the 2014 Alliant Build America Awards will now include a “Partnering Excellence” category to recognize those projects best epitomizing the principles of partnering. Members looking to apply for a partnering award should choose the AGC Build America Marvin M. Black Partnering Competition from the competition list on the entry site.
The deadline for all submissions is Friday, November 1, 2013 at 11:59 pm ET. Winners will be announced at AGC of America’s 95th Annual Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, next March.
