AGC represents the entire spectrum of the commercial construction industry, from industrial to building, heavy highway to multi-family residential. The AGC membership calendar runs from July 1 to June 30 of the subsequent year, and dues are prorated based on the month of the start of membership.
General Contractor Dues
AGC defines a general contractor as an individual, partnership, corporation or other business entity that is capable of performing construction work as a contractor with overall responsibility for satisfactory completion of a project using its own forces to perform or supervise part of the work AND which performs 25% of its total volume of work as a general contractor.

Specialty Contractor Dues
AGC defines a specialty contractor as any individual or firm who cannot qualify for membership as a general contractor member, but who performs a portion of the work on a construction site and has not undertaken a volume of work as a “general contractor” that amounts to more than 25% of their total business volume measured over the two preceding calendar years.
