CLEAN DIESEL FUNDING

EPA is soliciting clean diesel proposals in the Region X states of Oregon, Washington, Alaska and Idaho for projects between $600,000 and $1.2 million. They anticipate awarding 1-2 projects.

EPA’s National Clean Diesel Funding Assistance Program is soliciting proposals for projects nationally and within the Region X states that achieve significant reductions in diesel emissions in terms of tons of pollution and diesel emissions exposure, particularly from fleets operating in areas designated by the EPA Administrator as poor air quality areas. Project proposals must be submitted by Monday, June 4, 2012, 4:00 p.m. local time in order to be considered for funding. For more information please click here.

For projects with a material benefit to Oregonians, Oregon DEQ will assist in developing any and all proposals to increase the competitiveness of any project. Assistance may include proposal drafting, project design, partner recruitment, application assistance and technical analysis in support of the proposal. For more information contact Kevin Downing, 503.229.6549, downing.kevin@deq.state.or.us.

Eligible diesel emission reduction solutions include verified emission control technologies such as retrofit devices, cleaner fuels, and engine upgrades, verified idle reduction technologies, verified aerodynamic technologies and low rolling resistance tires, certified engine repowers, and/or vehicle or equipment replacement.
