Oregon OSHA sent AGC the following invitation to attend the annual Workers Memorial Day ceremony in Salem. The program includes the reading of names of Oregon workers killed on the job in 2011. The event is open to the public.
WHAT: Workers Memorial Day recognizes the thousands of U.S. workers who die each year on the job, and the more than 1 million people in the United States who are injured each year while at work. The observance is typically held on April 28 because on that date in 1970, Congress passed the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
