The American Institute of Architects honored the most deserving of contractors, suppliers, and other industry individuals that they work with for their superior skills, attentive effort, and those that have mastered the ideals of craftsmanship.
A celebration and award ceremony was held at the Ford Alumni Center on May 8, 2019. This award program started in 1953 and was last held in 2015.
As one of the AIA’s core programs, Gordon Rea was nominated by Robertson Sherwood Architecture for his outstanding work, not only at the new SELCO Community Credit Union Thurston Branch, but over the course of his career.
Gordon Rea has worked for McKenzie Commercial for over 20 years and is an expert senior project superintendent. Some of his recently completed projects include Roseburg Forest Products and SELCO Community Credit Union Thurston and West Bend Branches. He will also be overseeing the remodel and expansion for Campbell Community Center.
Additionally, McKenzie Commercial Contractors recognized and congratulated Gordon Rea on his outstanding customer care. The letters received in support of Gordon expressed his demonstration of unparalleled commitment to every project and his ability to understand the customer’s goals and consider how his work will benefit everyone around him.
