WA State DES Disparity Study Business Owners Interviews

The WA State Department of Enterprise Services (DES) Disparity Study has moved to the Business Owner Interview portion of the study and needs your voice.

Colette Holt & Associates (CHA) will be conducting group interviews for business owners around the state beginning at the end of April. Business owners can provide critical insights into doing business with the State and its prime vendors, the effectiveness of the State’s current contracting and equity initiatives, and make suggestions for creative approaches to level the public contracting playing field. This study involves thirty-three state agencies listed below.

Interested business owners can be part of the process for anecdotal data collection by participating in upcoming focus groups to share experiences and insights. It is very important that all firms with an interest in the State’s contracting activities participate. The information generated from these sessions will be an important component of the analysis of whether M/W/VBEs receive full and fair chances to compete for State work. In the coming months, business owner interviews will be held at convenient locations throughout the state.
