On December 14, AGC blogged the announcement of the eight winners of the 2015 ROSE Award. This award recognizes chapter leaders in safety excellence and their dedication to safety. These eight companies have worked very hard, and through continuous improvement of their safety program they have received well-deserved recognition from peers in the industry. All eight winners this year were recommended to move forward to the AGC of America’s CSEA competition.
In this first of three blogs, AGC asks the question “What does winning a ROSE award mean to your company?”.
“Winning the ROSE award is a great honor, especially when considering the caliber of contractors we are competing with. More than that, it reinforces our belief that we are on the right path. While that path may be long and we may never see the end, it is the path that we choose to follow. Not because it is easy, but because it’s the right thing to do; there are no shortcuts or side-roads. The safety of every employee at Fred Shearer & Sons is our moral obligation and ultimately, its own reward. We are incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to share our passion, commitment, and culture with the Greater Portland Area and truly appreciate the recognition.” Jim Jones, Fred Shearer & Sons
“Winning the ROSE Award validates the hard work, dedication, and resilience that the entire company has put forth in transforming our safety culture. While we are beyond thrilled with this success, we continue seeking opportunities for further improvement.” Tiffany Campbell Goss, Todd Hess Building Company
